Fluid Kayaks was started in early 2003 by Celliers Kruger. Fluid Kayaks manufactures a range of high-end whitewater- and leisure kayaks that are competitive in prices and quality.
The company’s roots lay in the small town of Parys in South Africa, right next to the Vaal River, where Celliers started his company. He changed an unoccupied building into a state-of-the-art factory. They now have one of South Africa’s most efficient and successful molding production facilities.
Fluid Kayaks started with a few inexperienced employees, now the staff contains 26 employees who have been trained in the specialisation of kayak-making. Most of the employees came from poor backgrounds and their new job has had an enormous impact on the development of the local community.

Nowadays Fluid Kayaks is well known and has selling points in Europe, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
In early 2007 a new production site has been set up to improve production and shipping facilities. In Juli 2007 the production of the new playboat Nemesis and the new edition of the Solo has started. In the next few months and in the Kanumesse Show more new developments will be announced.
